Itinerary
Day 1 (07 Aug.23): Arrive in Cairo Egypt. A day of sightseeing!
Day 2 (08 Aug.23): Explore the Pyramids & the Egyptian Museum with the Holy Family Churches.
In the morning we will be driven to see the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx: the most famous monuments of not only ancient Egypt, but of the entire ancient world! We then move on to the Egyptian museum gaze at the treasures of King Tutankhamen.
After lunch we move to old Cairo to visit the oldest churches in the world. These holy sites in Egypt were blessed by the visiting of the holy family during their flee to Egypt.
Day 3 (09 Aug.23): Wadi El Natrun Monasteries
We visit two of the most famous monasteries in Egypt, Monastery of Saint Pishoy and Monastery of the Syrians in Wadi el Natrun. We then continue our travels to the Mediterranean city of Alexandria. We spend the evening in Alexandria.
Day 4 (10 Aug.23): Alexandria the Birth of Christianity in Egypt
Alexandria city is considered the birth place of Christianity in Egypt. It was introduced by St, Mark during the Roman era. The people of Alexandria converted to Christianity rapidly and Christianity became the main religion of Egypt.
Day 5 (11 Aug.23): Fly to Aswan – Cruising the Nile from Aswan
Cross the Nile River by motorboat to the Philae temple complex. Afterwards, check in to a 4-day / 3-night Nile Cruise.
Day 6 (12 Aug.23): While cursing on the Nile we will stop at temples on the Nile - Kom Ombo to Edfu ( Visit: Kom Ombo--Crocodile temple, Crocodile Museum, and the Falcon Temple)
Day 7 (13 Aug.23): Discover Luxor-Valley of the Kings, Temples & Tombs
Day 8 (14 Aug.23): Fly to Cairo from Luxor- Sightseeing of Khan El Khalili and Old Bazzars.
Day 9 (15 Aug.23): Final departure – Egypt Farewell - Transfer to Cairo International Airport for Final Departure.
